David has over 20 years’ experience in toxicology from research, government and consultancy and has worked across the pesticides, biocides, industrial chemical and cosmetics regulatory areas. He has experience in data gap analysis, testing strategies, study monitoring, dossier preparation and the provision of high level technical advice and support to clients. David also has experience in CLH dossier preparation and has represented clients at ECHA’s Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC), defending and rebutting proposals for hazard classification. He is the author of a number of papers and textbook chapters and, for several years, has lectured on toxicology and toxicokinetics at local universities. He has a particular interest in reducing vertebrate testing through the use of in vitro and non-testing methods such as read-across, and has supported clients in meeting regulatory requirements whilst minimising the extent of animal testing.
In his spare time David enjoys running, swimming and visiting the gym, and is a member of a local choral society.
